Terms and Conditions
Last updated: January 2026
01. Agreement and Booking
By securing a spot on our guided tours or utilizing our route preparation services, you agree to the terms outlined below. All bookings made with Highridge Guides require a verified confirmation and are subject to availability. Full payment must be completed before the start of any scheduled hike.
Our guided services require precise logistics. Once you book, your spot is reserved exclusively for you, preventing others from joining that specific excursion.
02. Cancellations and Modifications
We understand that travel plans change. However, due to the limited capacity of our mountain tours, the following cancellation policy applies strictly to all participants:
- Cancellations made 14 days or more before the scheduled departure will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 7 to 13 days of the departure are eligible for a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the start of the hike.
Highridge Guides reserves the right to modify or cancel any route due to severe weather, unsafe trail conditions, or unforeseen natural hazards. In such instances, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
03. Participant Responsibilities
Alpine environments demand respect and proper preparation. As a participant, you must:
- Arrive with adequate physical conditioning for the selected route difficulty.
- Wear appropriate footwear and bring the mandatory safety gear outlined in your preparation checklist.
- Follow the instructions of the mountain guide at all times. The guide retains ultimate authority over safety decisions on the trail.
If a guide determines that a participant is unfit to continue or lacks the necessary equipment, they may be asked to turn back for the safety of the entire group. No refunds will be provided in these circumstances.
04. Liability and Risks
Mountain hiking involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falling rocks, sudden weather changes, and difficult terrain. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Highridge Guides is not liable for personal injuries, lost equipment, or delays resulting from forces beyond our direct control.
We strongly recommend that all participants carry personal travel and health insurance that covers high-altitude rescue and outdoor activities.
